What angle of the pictures would you like?

It's mounted on the top of the trunk, not on 45 degree transition edge before it becomes vertical from the side profile. It'll be pretty hard to mount this piece once you have mounted the wing and yours is just awesome.

Thank you. That is sad to hear haha.
And thank you for doing this for the z4 community!
When things like this happens, we need people to support so we can have more parts in the future

Thank you for the support. I just love this chassis and glad that I can help. Now only if I can get a front bumper so I can start the front lip...

Thank you..
Believe me I do! I'm just contemplating the cost vs. benefit vs. looks. I may end up waiting this out. I think slightly less expensive and I would be all in. Still appreciate the time and effort to getting this thing done!

I'm in the exact same boat. I like it (and appreciate the work that was put into it), but am on the fence if it's enough of an upgrade over my OE style spoiler for the money.

That said, the last couple pictures just posted look great and are making the decision even more difficult.

That's one of the reasons I am buying. I am not sure I love it or not, but I want to own one and have the option. I figure there is zero risk, you can always re-sell. But good aftermarket parts for these cars are few and far between!!

Many of us, me included, have the Mstache splitter mounted which is a nicely shaped subtle front spoiler which is not too extreme for every day use. You could come up with an even more sophisticated version of that, maybe one with a proper under tray...

BUT - Pleeeeease let's focus first on the DIFFUSOR !!
The system 1 + 2 Dif from Varis is pretty much perfect IMO talking about design and functionality - but it comes with a pretty steep price tag as well.

Anybody else looking for a sleek diffusor??

There is a discussion thread: http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1406998
Not much traction, yet.

Yes, the 3M mounting tape is included for your convenience. I specifically asked the manufacturer to include what they use for these kind of mounting. Save you a trip to the store or wait for tape to arrive from eBay etc.

I'll ask them what exactly it is and report back.

The mounting tape included is 3M Automotive Acrylic Foam CP5180. It's not implying 3M tape is the best way nor the factory recommended way to mount this piece. YMMV.

What's you thoughts, will there be too much drag for the spoiler to stay on the trunk? Would you rather bolt it on ?

I used 3M double sided tape to mount mine however i didn't use the tape that came with it but rather some that I already had that was thicker and wider (the roll on the right in the picture). Seems super secure and unlikely that it will come off. I've driven up to 60 mph with no issues. Haven't driven on the freeway yet with it. The spoiler also has 2 molded in threaded shafts which I presume was added to potentially be used for mounting but I wasn't interested in drilling any holes into my deck lid.

For those interested in a weight comparison. Here's the Tekarbon vs the Skyer. The Skyer about a 1 lb heavier than the Tekarbon but overall still very light.

Definitely interested, and have just PM'd for UK courier costs, so that I can work out the import duty/tax on this (tax is added on top of the courier charge too).

My old OEM spoiler was affixed with the same tape, and coped fine with 140mph on the 'Ring, and 175mph on the autobahn.

Was only removed when it was vandalised/damaged and had a unsightly crack through it.

----

ETA, costs to the UK are the same as to Canada (so $70)...so it looks like I'm getting added to the list too! Pity about the extra 25% for customs/sales tax once it hits the UK (plus whatever extortionate admin charge the processing centre decides to add).
