The ONLY body kit on the Z that is even semi-passable for me is the Studie AG kit from Japan. And that is only because it's a direct replica of the Motorsports Chassis.

IMO, they should have had dedicated M side skirts (instead of the Aero kit sides)

I like the rear diffuser and the roof spoiler the most...not fond of the front bumper now that i see it.
i agree with those who are saying our M's are just fine the way they are, but a little embellishment in the right places just makes owning the car more fun. i think tekarbon halos, a cdv delete, new tint, and powder coating my stock wheels to gunmetal are what i am going to stick with for now - plenty to do. |

For me, it has enough stylng cues to make it stand out to those who really know what an M is: the unique front, raised hood, dual exhausts, and the oh-so-subtle but all important ///M badge. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think its already a masterpiece!

Agree. I like the bumper and I like the factory side skirts. The aero skirt adds another crease on the side (the first being the bottom of the door panel), which makes it look out of place.

One thing about car photos is it is all about the angles. This photo kinda sucks and isn't at an angle that helps the car. I'm sure it looks good in person though. I like the Hamann sides and roof spoiler, but ACS did the rear wing better. Those wheels have got to go though.

Here's the Hamann site with multiple views of the Z4M fully kitted.
I must say I like the aesthetics of the Hamann side skirts but I am doubtful about the rest. I especially prefer the stock front bumper and the stock treatment of the rear end. The spoiler and wing look a bit overdone to me. Tastes differ of course. To my eye, the skirts provide a beefier race-car look that probably should have been the stock offering. If my car had them magically installed I'd leave well enough alone with a smile but I'm not about to pay for the change. Nice to look at though. There may even be some value in the venting for a track car. Thoughts? http://www.hamann.autovogue.com/z4mcoupe.php $0.02 |
