Anyone have this exhaust combo?
- Euro headers
- SS section 1 w/cat delete - Stock section 2 - RPI mufflers As of right now this is what I am planning on having installed by spring. (car is parked for the winter). I love loud cars and can handle drone, so long as it leads to an amazing exhaust sound... Should I be planning on installing a set of AR25's to the section 1 now or leave as is? |

i have euro headers,
Dkf sectio 1 with 100 cell cat Stock pipe Rpi. its WAY WAY to loud for comfort imo, i actually started to dislike driving the car, just way to loud, i have since bolted in some silcencers But if I'm not happy with those the RPI will be going.

This. I like loud cars but even with extra sound deadening in the trunk this was too much and the RPIs were gone within a month after adding the headers. Sounded amazing though. I have the KKS titaniums now and might have to switch to something even quieter once the dkf section 1 goes in....

I also have DKF hangers and the drone is controlled after driving a few thousand miles and broken in the diablos. The raspiness is still there and the exhaust sounds insanely exotic. With the RPI i would feel that the car will be very annoying. Ps i also have an ess VT2-500 |

My set up isn't exactly in line with what you're looking at, but I do have input on adding ar20's in section 1
First ar20's actually work better than the ar25's with the stock piping, they use the same resonator the ar20's just reduce more. That allows you to cut them to actually match the stock piping Second, the benefit of the resonator is that it kills the rasp of s54 really well. However it does remove a but of the burble and pops you get when downshifting. I've been told several times by bmw owners that they can't believe I made the s54 sound so good. Sometimes I would like to try out some rpi's since my coupe is a weekend car and the extra noise would be nice at times, but I love the way it sounds and I wouldn't want to gamble with the money for something I'm already happy with
