Officially the Dinan intake isn't available for the Z4M.

I believe on the non-M, they claim roughly a 5hp gain and with the Ram Air, they claim around 12hp (with their software).

I just installed the Dinan intake over the weekend, and Butt Dyno says there's an ever so slight increase. vvverrryyy slight.

I'm expecting major gains with the headers and exhaust though.

Hey... did your Dinan badge come yet? How about a picture of where you mounted both of them... I'm still waiting on mine... Chuck I

I got my Deck Lid Badge....Also, it is to my understanding, the badge must be mounted at the location as designated on there instructions. I am still awaiting for my Serial numbered underhood "S" Plaque & "S" letter

I'm sure if you put it in a non-approved place they will come and take it back.

PS> Who's alpenweiss in the background?

LOL...I was instructed both by DINAN & my Authorized Dealer that the Badge had to be set as per the provided instructions. In fact, the instructions were so very clear and idiot proof. I liked how they packaged the letters onto a premolded transparent mounting strip, which aligned with the left edge of the deck lid face. It was an easy job.

Furthermore, it was mentioned to me that to further obtain the other items such as the serial numbered plaque & "S", you must submit to DINAN, or to your Authorized Dealer a photograph of the installed badge on your vehicle. In fact, there is alot of paperwork that had to be submitted, from Authorized Dealer reciepts to photos of every installed item as well. As for me, it was worth it...

BTW, I just completed the installation of my DINAN Pedals....

Also, I had to get the DINAN oversized floor mats too, (manufacuted by Llyods). Excellent quality, and it feels good even when barefooted...lol...

Hopefully by Friday of this week I should be receiving my Stage 2 Supplemental Front Strut Tower Braces...

Up next...either the Stage 1 or 2 Suspension System, followed by a set of the 19" DINAN Lightweight Forged Performance Wheels...and that should do it....

...the car to the right of me in the first pic...is not alpine...the bright parking lot lights made IMAZ4N silver finish look almost white....

Still waiting for clarification, I thought the Dinan badge for the Z4 was "DINAN Z" whereas "DINAN S" is for the Mini Cooper S.

But the car is looking very sharp. Now for curiosity sake, I know the pedals are worth 1 Dinan point, but are the floor mats worth Dinan points as well?

I have the Dinan Air Box and Dinan Muffler, 3 points each = 6 points total.
I was thinking of getting the ram air duct (2 points) and maaaaybe the pedals (1 point). That gives me 9 points, what else can I get for cheap to earn my badge?

I already have the Strong Strut tower bar and firewall braces, so that's out of the question, but key here is cheap... I don't plan on going all out on Dinan goodies, as I believe there are better parts out there for better prices, but it'd be nice to have the DINAN badge so the guy behind me knows its not a plane jane Z4.

Check out the badge requirements.
Also, if you go into the details of each item, it will have its point value.

Floor mats dont have any points.

The cheapest item on their website would be the 2 front strut bars. It's worth 1 point, but they do have a note stating "For use in conjunction with the Dinan Strut Tower Brace." maybe you wont get points unless you have the main strut bar as well? Maybe sell the 2 strut bars you have now and replace with Dinan to get the badge.

Otherwise, forget the pedals, and go for two points with the software upgrade at $299. More practical I think.

Yeah, I like my STB and not willing to change it out, their software is pointless and a waste of $300 as I'm supercharging down the line anyways.

I guess there's no other cheapy 1 pointer except the pedals. What a suck...

The website says it does, but I would email Dinan to make sure.

It's made for the 3.0, so yeah.

It's a real shame RPI didn't follow this route for the Z4M. It has a true ram-air effect, with larger surface area and ROUND edges of all things (who the f%^k designed a square one). My $0.02

Agreed. The scholar of Notre Dame could have made one in junior sheetmetal class with his good eye covered. Hence my reluctance to buy the RPI one.

Will this Dinan plastic one fit the M ? I havent looked closely.

Yes for M, 3.0, 3.0Si. Requires minor modification and remounting of the left side of the brace which is easy. (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...47&hg=51&fg=15 Part #4).

Do u mean the right brace? Intake is on the right, and our braces are what get in the way of this specific unit

Same side as intake. Just a matter of perspective.
