Powder coating won't add any noticeable weight. The reason for it is it's more durable then just painting. Less likely to flake off when a stone hits it.

Why Poweder coting - and not spray painted, I also thought about Powder coating, but my mates recon it will add a lot of weight.
powder coating does not add weight like the previous poster listed. It's VERY durable, I have since relocated from California back to Pennsylvania during the winter and drove the entire way back . I've seen painted wheels and they do not last as long and can chip.

Not one issue with my rims, the wheels are still spotless and no dings (can't say the same for the mirrors or front bumper though) from the trip.

Powder Coated my wheels

Just wanted to share my gloss black powder coated wheels for thought. I love how the gloss flows with the rest of the car.

Powdercoat is more durable but you will need to strip the original finish off of the wheels. The other issue is the heat application relating to powdercoating that many feel might compromise the integritity of the wheel. That is why they just generally use paint. I think these wheels look great in gun metal. I was actually thinking about doing them the finsh that was on the OEM E39 M5 wheels "Shadow Chrome" Just some thoughts

Just a little note to put in your back pocket but when you are communicating with anyone and you use the word 'man' in a sentence instead of the persons name you make yourself look about 15 years old and lower your status considerably in front of others.

You will never hear any World leader, high profile Politician or leader of Industry talk like that.

Gloss becomes matte if you dont clean the brake dust off.....

That's the second response like that I've seen from you. What's up with that?

Just ignore it. Don't waste your time. There will be negative people on every website. I just block or ignore them. Way to much going on in the world to worry about this kind of stuff.

Now I do like the black on blue. That looks good.

@schwank I love the way the color of the car is reflected on the rims..My cars black, So Im thinking of a more stealth look with either matt black or Dark Titanium.
