Just wanted to give you guys a heads up, I found euro tails marked down to $30 each:

Sheesh... that's inexpensive for an entire tail light assembly.

I actually prefer the stock lights I have now though. Maybe on a white car, but it looks too "ricer" IMHO for a black Z4.

Makes me wonder just how much markup there typically is on these when the car is new(er).

On the other hand, if I had a broken tail light I'd probably be singing a completely different tune. $60 for a pair of tails is insane.

That's a 3.0i with dual exhaust.

Not sure if I like them or not because it doesn't look stock. IMO it's "different" than the stock tails with amber, but the 2005 tails are definitely nicer.

Agreed... I prefer the OEM stock lights on my '05 but a great price for clears:

Good find!! Thanks!! I too like the red ones better but my stock ones have a crack and they're the 03 ambers.

Does anybody know where to get red 1156 that won't throw a code?

You would think, but I haven't seen any I would consider "good".
I have the WeissLicht Spektrum from Bimmian, in amber and white, which totally kick a$$, but it doesn't look like they come in red.

Hang about a bit ... looks like maybe they do.
You have to click a little deeper to find the good stuff.

I did find regular red 1156 at a place called Light Bulb Depot. Ordered them. Hope the quality is ok. Some I've seen reviews on they say look pink.
