i will investigate purchasing a new domain name to dedicate to this and buying a few years or so of hosting. We can also try to find all of his posts on the forums and duplicate them there.

I'd throw a couple bucks in as well if it would help get a domain up and running for longer...

I regret to inform everyone that Ronald J. Stygar passed this morning at 5:30 AM EST.

That information was received a little before 11:00 this morning. I don't have the exact cause of death, but to say it was complications brought on by dementia wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

Donations could be made the the Alzheimer's Foundation of America in Ron's name:
http://alzfdn.org/Donation-Page/dona...s-disease.html

If you have had some prior interaction with Ron, and/or have pictures of him (and yourselves) in action, please share them with us.

Maybe the closest I ever got to capturing a smile on Ron's face (to which he'd say "that's as good as it gets")

Goodbye my friend, Godspeed!

Definitely missed, and a lot of my newbie questions were answered through the copious threads and posts he generated.

Dementia is a cruel disease. I've first hand experience with it with one parent. I hope there's peace for Ron now and peace for those left behind.

I first met Ron on the Bimmerfest Z3 forum many years ago. We exchanged several forum posts and many emails. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person I felt I knew him well. If my memory serves me correctly he was a quality assurance engineer at Hamilton Standard which may explain his excruciating attention to detail.
Ron, we'll miss you but your sage advice will be with us for a long time to come thanks to Dale and Jon.

RIP Ron; I know I have Homecoming Pics including at least one Panoramic Coupe Pic (hanging in my Garage). I'll have a look over the coming days and post if I can. I first met Ron in 2007 with our Coupes and he was so friendly and helpful; with all the questions I had... A great Man and continuing resource for all of us...

I think I met him at the last (08) Homecoming. didnt get to talk much, got to check out his car. He was great at subtle mods that looked like they should have been there from the factory. I remember reading many of his posts over the years. I am grateful for all of the info he posted, He will be missed in this small corner of the internet.

He was an instrumentation technician at Pratt & Whitney jet engine testing. So yeah, meticulous.
