17 or 18 inch???

I`m DEFINITELY getting rid of my 16" rims with RFTs in favor of some regular tires on larger rims. While I like the look of 18" rims, I`m afraid that the ride will be as harsh as with my old RFTs. Should I stick with a 17" for a good ride and decent handling? I`m open to any advice and opinions. BTW, this car is my daily driver.

im on 17s now w/o RFT. The rides great, but to be honest the small rims take away from the look. 18s are a perfect size. the ride should not be too much worse.

I've run 17's and 18's on my 3.0 sport and find very little difference in ride with non rft.

Not that much difference going from 17" to 19", if you have good tires.

I think the handling is better on my 235/19 / 265/19 setup than my previous 225/17 setup.
None of them are run flat.

go with the 18's. i went from 16's to 18's myself. there is a slight diference in the ride, but not that much. And it will look better.

i guess it depends on what you have, i have the sport package on my Z, of course it came with the 17" turbines,i just replaced them with aftermarket wheels ,also 17"s, but i run non RFT s ,also since this will be your daily driver, take into account the condition of the roads on which you will be commuting daily, and where you live,i live in houston ,and the roads are ok in some places and bad in others,i had bad experiences with 18"s before,i will never put them on a small car again. just my .02
