Great photos and description of a beautiful car (best color combo for Z4M!).
I happen to be a "soon-to-be new Z4MR owner," and I won't have EL to look forward to. Fortunately I happen to love the design enough that I don't think it will bother me. One feature that stands out for me, as with the OP, is the steering wheel. Just feels and looks great if not perfect! Thankfully it is finished beautifully with leather and M-stitching. I'll let you know hopefully by Wednesday, I should get the car. |

Awesome pics and write-up OP, very good to know what's out there on the Z4 for potential shoppers.

The Retrofit numbers were just meant as a shock
not as a "idea" Since making this thread I also re-trimmed my door handles in carbon fiber fabric So here are some pics of that,

I also added the ///M Tri color to my factory boot by hand by removing the stock black threads and replacing them with the ///M colors as per steering wheel,
Its actually a much better match than the pictures show! I need to take some new pics to show the better detail! You can see the colors even appear to be different in each photo, This was taken outside in the sun with the top down and I think that interfered with the colors, I also added one of my own "Lighted ZHP's" in the stock amber color, Also need some better pics of that, The knob in the more recent tri color pictures is my "new" lighted ZHP which used the newer M3's internals and is MUCH better, Pics added are of the old version I used to make But anyway here are some pics, You can see its a pretty good match to the steering wheel thread, So two shots for that perspective, One focusing on each and finally another distance shot and the lighted ZHP

The stitching is wonderful and is one of the best mods I have ever seen. You must have spent allot of time on it. How did you stitch that by hand? Remarkable!

Lovely! I am looking at roadsters for sale now and every time I see this thread I keep thinking how nice it'd be if one with extended leather popped up for sale.
