The Boxsters are Circling!

Yesterday was a lovely day here yesterday so I took advantage of the above-the-freezing-point temps to wash the accumulated winter salt and grime off our Monday to Friday cars. All the while, I was pining to get my Z4 out of storage; especially as the day wore on and it warmed up nicely.

So anyway, as I'm washing the Accords, the neighbor down the road buzzes by in his Boxster - twice! He has a garage so he can easily take his car out for that rare nice spring day drive. He'll have to wait a couple of weeks yet to see my Z - then - look out!!

Don't really get your smileys... but yeah! Sucks you don't just have it in your garage! My winter car stays in the driveway so my Zed and bike can sit in my garage all winter It is out now though and I am loving it!

Hi Hawkeye!

Hmmm. In retrospect, my smilies tell a story in symbol form - in jest - about how I'll do battle with the evil dark lord in the Boxster and then swat him! I can hear you now:

"Okay".

My house doesn't have a garage or I would have been driving the Z yesterday. Although yesterday was nice, we are still in the part of the year where it could snow or the temps could drop low enough for the city to salt the streets. Until that period has passed, my car will stay in storage.

Cheers!

Must be total hell waiting for Spring to get its ass in gear!

I would simply die if it were March and the ///M were still in storage. Time for a road trip to some warmer climate?!

It totally sucks!! Although this year, we seem to be getting spring weather up here in eastern Canada about four weeks earlier than in a previous years. So, perhaps I will be able to get the Z out of storage and back in the driveway significantly before the target date of May 1.

Cheers - and Happy St. Patrick's Day - especially to the owners of Urban Green Z4's!

The roads here are not bad thankfully. All of the salt that has not been cleaned off yet is on the very edges of the road. Still getting 2 washes a week though... well worth it IMO!

I also got my R6 out this past weekend for a short ride... I simply love the nice weather!!!

Wow! I really should be thankful for the weather I have here in the Sierra foothills. But man, May 1, that's such a bummer. I've got my fingers crossed for that early Spring for you.

Wow. I am also feeling fortunate for my location! I might feel different when we hit 110 degrees, but I guess that's what the AC is for....

To update a bit, yesterday I called the place where my car, and a number of other automotive gems, are stored for the winter. the folks there expect that most owners will begin pulling their cars out around mid-April, if not sooner owing to the very nice spring weather we are getting. So, if luck is with me, I'll have the Z4 on the road much sooner than expected.

Cheers!

UPDATE!

The guys called me on Friday and my car is out of storage and back in my driveway! It was a nice sunny day here today, albeit a bit cool. But just the same, I washed the Z and went for a spin.

Man, have I missed this car!!!!

Cheers!!!

Yay! Sounds like the weather your way was better than ours. Cold, wet, and generally nasty today and not weather for driving. It's snowing just up the hill from me. Oh well, I'm glad you got in some fun and I'm happy to take the bad weather for a day so you could get out and enjoy the car.

Thanks Finnegan!

ALthough its nice here again today, your weather sounds like the forecast here for later this week! I'll pray to the weather gods that we both get nice weather soon!!!

Cheers!!
