Total Z4s sold to date?

Hi all!

I saw this a few weeks ago when I was researching for my order, but can't find it now...

Wondering how many cars have been made: roadster, coupe, MR and MC. Esp. interested in the coupes, 3.0 vs. M Coupes.

Anyone got the official numbers? Is there a registry for the M Coupe online? I just got my VIN#.

Thanks for the figures or links. -David

PS. Finally saw the ultimate factories show on N. Geo channel. Very nice. Gotta watch it again... Wish the coupes were heard and not just barely seen!

This was answered on Bimmerfest by Ron Stygar, but I figured some people here might be interested as well. These are the numbers for just the M Coupes: 380 cars in 2006, 1187 in 2007, and 130 so far in 2008.

so about 1,500 M Coupes on the road here in the US... nice. That seems pretty exlusive to me!

I wonder how many Coupes total there are. Probably quite a few more.

I may be wrong, but I think the 1700 M Coupes are on the road WORLDWIDE, not just in the US (although I would wager 2/3rds are USA residing cars). I think few are near the Nurburgring..

Regardless, these are still very low numbers and I am just glad to be one of the lucky owners. Mine will be a USA car, but will be residing about 15 minutes from Hockenheim.

According to one of our car guide, 43 M Coupes were sold in Canada in 2007.

My salesman does not see a high demand for 2008. I may be the only buyer of an M Coupe in Montreal in 2008.

Hopefully, that will not be the case.

I imported mine from the US and from what I hear there are a few making it accross the border, so that may skew the numbers a bit.

I live in a small city with a pop of 30K and there is another MC in town and he has yet to see mine...he's gonna be pissed when he finds out he's not the only one

But he comes to the carwash I own, so I'll have to give him some freebees!

My car originated from Jersey but was given a nice Canadian conversion right down to the guages.

Too bad your wash is so far up north, I'd love to visit you and give it a try.
Maybe during the summer when I plan a cottage/camping trip! But then I dunno if I'd be going camping with a Z4.. lol

So you're in the Ottawa region. I have relatives in that region. I might visit your car wash and say hello

while visiting them.
