VIR Feb 23-24

I just heard that there are still a few openings in the Tarheel BMW CCA HPDE on the Full Course at VIR on the last weekend of this month. Openings in A, B, and C groups; note that D (novice) is full with a waitlist. All BMW CCA HPDEs are now restricted to BMW CCA members only, deadline for this event is Monday, Feb. 18.

Two Z4MCs and one--yawn--2012 Bugatti Veyron signed up right now.

I am boycotting the BMWCCA event this year. The rule requiring you to be CCA member to run is just wrong. I have three newbie track wanabee's but they don't want to have to join the BMWCCA to drive. I thought only the Audi groups did this crap....

I am going to be at the FSR PCA event in May.

and yea i agree that the only bmwcca membership is BS. if anything, it should be discount incentive if you're a member and full price if otherwise.

VIR is 45 miles from me and i was there OFTEN this fall...each time with a PCA club and never had any issues registering. p-car guys are all friendly and didn't mind mixing it up with a bmw on the track for a weekend.

Agree but that's why the NJ club will use the membership fee as a credit towards your event

They used to do this up until this year....

I was not at the FSR PCA event in Sept. I was there last May and I am signed up again this year. May 17-19. Three days, Full Course for $400. You really can't get better than that....

Asphalt Ventures is doing a one day event (two days if you count the photo shoot on Sat) at NCCAR in March. They will even let convertibles on the track at this event which is a rare thing here on the East Coast. I think it's $150 for the day with instructors. I can't make it because I get to spend 35 days in Pearl Harbor starting on the 12th. The event is listed on MotorsportReg.com.
