Check this out! Personalized Plate for sale! California

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Listed today is (2) Brand new California Personalized License plates. (SICKBMW)
Only one person in California can own these plates and that can be you...

(I'm not sure if the law in California allows me to release interest in these plates and have them transfered over to someone else, but if it is possible then let's do it. If not then just disregard this post.)
^^^^^Edited Below^^^^^
According to DMV'S Website, located at http://www.dmv.ca.gov/vr/vr_info.htm#BM2517 it does say:

Will I be able to give these plates as a gift?
Yes. You may give a Special Interest License Plate as a gift.

So therefore these plates will be offered as a gift only, with acceptable donation...

Please send me your offers via PM or to my email address:SickBmw@gmail.com

Thank you for viewing.

These have never been put on any vehicle and are fresh straight from the DMV! I will also include a free German Plate that you can see in the pic below.

Also I have a Performance Eisenmenn Exhaust Setup for sale here on the forum and you can see it here: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=460236

As well as 3 Piece Forged Rims for sale seen here:http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=428714

"Giving as a gift" means you can give them to someone for free. It is illegal to sell them as far as I know...or accept a donation.

Thanks for your input Nikki but as far as you know must mean you don't know that far on this subject! Illegal is a strong word. This item is not currently registered to a vehicle, therefore it's at this point a collectors item. Do a search on eBay for California license plates. There's even websites that are similar to eBay for license plates to be sold. But hey thanks for your negative input & free bump!

That's fine, whoever buys it will probably get their car keyed anyway.

Haha... That is too funny! Or the car will be in the shop constantly bacause it is "sick". I was gojng to get vanity plate for my Z4MC but decided not to. If it is legal, i would love to drive my car without any plate (especially the front)

How do you figure? That's like saying anyone who buys a new BMW M3 or any other expensive car will get there car keyed! Uh why? Because people are jealous? Thats a fact of life and will happen regardless let alone if you have a vanity plate like this one..

Oh and p.s. I had these same plates on my 2007 335i for 3 years and on my 2009 M3 convertible for 16 months. Never had my car touched by anyone..

Just reordered these from the DMV new..

So ?????

Nice plates. If I still lived in California I would pick these up. I ordered special Oregon plates which are $150 a piece. Nobody runs them up here so I wanted them. To personalize them would be even more.

Bump!

Probably not. I had worse plates when I lived in San Diego and never had any issues and that was with cars that cost $40,000 more than a Z4M..

Was that driveout or before taxes? It sounds like you paid too much.

That's before taxes. And no I didn't pay too much, that was msrp... Besides if you do any research you can see that all fully loaded m3 convertibles start at over $80,000... Most M3 guys don't know this cuz they don't buy the convertibles..

When they first came out there was the waiting list and over $80k pricetag. Sounds about right. At Kuni they are low $70s for base and blah color. I can see close to $90k the first week out.

Actually I got the car for $72,886 which is more then $10,000 off the msrp! So definitely didn't get ripped!

Secondly BMW ended up buying the car back from me after 16 months and refunding all payments, registration & down payments.

You do the math, did I get ripped! Thank for your 2 cents.

That just sounds like plain fraud. Gift with donation. Donation to what? Whatever...
