No I don't see any reason you can not piece this out. Just get the proper size/thread grade 10.5 bolts (stronger the better) and washers. Mic out the washers to get each washer pack the same thickness.

Thanks man - hey, regarding the HPDE at NCCAR, I was thinking of maybe trying to make it. Don't have a helmet, would need an inspection, and I'm out of town until Tuesday - have you heard anything more about it? I like the idea for a first time for me - flat, open, constant radius curves, might be a great place for the first HPDE. Just curious.

It's an Asphalt Adventures event. Never been there since it's so new. I am hoping it's a good track. It's closer than VIR. |

Picked up my over the counter hardware and installed it this weekend.
Alignment is booked for Thursday and track on Friday. I'll post up a few notes on the weekend.

Installed camber bolts and manually adjusted for max camber.
I ended up with -2.5 Left side and -3.1 Right side. After an alignment, I ended up with -2.5/-2.5. The difference in the front handling is very noticeable during autocrossing. In fact, the back end came around on me once. I am used to the understeer so was surprised when the front held. I highly recommend this mod. Cheap, quick and noticeable results!

I'd like to try sourcing these from McMaster-Carr using actual shims instead of washers for much closer tolerances. |

The washers are ~2.50mm each (3 per bolt) The OE bolts are 20mm, so with the added 2 washers it is threaded in to the same point. IMO shim stock is overkill. With manufacturing tolerances, both sides will never be equal. To fine tune the camber it will still need adjusting at the top.

Oh, I forgot to say that the stut hole must be perfectly lined op with the threaded hole in the kingpin. If it's not, the bolt won't thread and you could cross thread it.

FWIW, when I installed mine;
1. I just loosened the upper bolt and kept it in place to maintain bolt hole alignment. 2. I removed one of the lower OE bolts and turned in one of the new longer bolts (only 2-3 turns) sans washers. 3. I then removed the other OE bolt and pried a gap big enough to slide in two camber washers. The 1st bolt (step #2) maintained hole alignment for the 2nd new bolt. 4. I removed bolt in step #2 and added washers, then re-installed. As pointed out below, be sure to use red loctite

Did same, but added Red Loctite to the threads of the camber bolts since the originals had it.

Yes, add some Red Loctite. When I pulled my OEM bolts out, they had some on them.
