Need some help/advice
So my car was hit in my complex's parking lot. No note. I think it was the car that parks next to me because: (1) There's black paint smudges on my car and the car that parks next to me is black and (2) I haven't seen the car since. I'm assuming its owner has it at a body shop as we speak.
Anyway, I called my insurance company and filed a claim. I was planning to take it to MAC because they're a very reputable shop. I made an appointment with MAC and was going to have the car appraised there so that the guys at MAC could make sure I don't get some lowball offer. The insurance company called me today and said they were sending an appraiser out and asked me where my car is located. It was sitting in a train station parking lot. So now I have a feeling they're going to lowball me and I may not be able to take it to MAC with what my insurance company gives me. Is there anything I can do about this? If it's out of my hands, does anyone know a shop in NJ that's anywhere near as good as MAC but costs less? |

As far as shop recommendations I've also been to MAC when I had my aero bumper and side skirts painted and installed. It is pretty expensive but you absolutley know the job is going to get done the right way. Guy that works there named Derek was the one I spoke to. If you call them ask for him and you can tell him I told you to if you want. I've also gone to a shop called Motorcepts in Queens. Just google them and you'll find the site. I also highly recommend them as they pretty much exclusively work on bmw's and really know everything about them. They are passionate about what they do and they're really cool guys. I'm pretty sure they would probably be cheaper than MAC. My name is Christian by the way. Good luck with everything!

Update: I was able to get the car to MAC before the insurance adjuster came out. So now he'll have to go to MAC and inspect the car there, which is how I wanted it to happen.
Thanks for your advice Christian. |
