wheel help - width, offset, tire size (biggest on stock suspension/bodywork)
hello,
have a couple questions if thats ok? keep in mind 08 m coupe, stock bodywork and stock suspension(for now atleast, i am in the ohlins coliover group buy, just hoping we actually do get a kit from them) sticking with 18" as the diameter; what is the widest width that can be run on the front as well as on the rear? secondly, what is the least amount of offset for said width's both front and rear and finally what would the appropriate tires sizes be front and rear? thank you all for your time and help. |

are you prepared to massage the fender liners? generally I'd say a 9 and 10 if you have no intention of messing with the fenders, and depending on the tire 235/265 or 245/275
what wheel are you looking at? you might run into some caliper clearance issues |

Check this link http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator and do some experimenting with widths and offsets.
I used it to develop a spreadsheet with different widths and offsets to determine what suited my needs. Great tool. |
