Who wants a turbo?
The company is GSR Autosport (www.gsrautosport.com). They can do pretty much anything, including engine swaps (they just put the S85 V10 into their E92 M3). I talked with Michael for maybe a half hour. He's an extremely nice guy and very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of building up a race car. He also let me sit in it. I was afraid they would need the jaws of life to get me out . The car is (was) a 2004 non-M, and from what I remember: Engine S54 from an E46 M3 with a custom turbocharger that makes over 600 rwhp. The ECU was over $4000. The car has a custom full exhaust. Transmission 4 speed NASCAR gearbox Differential I don't remember the names/terms Michael used, but since this car is built for drifting the diff is locked. It's designed so the final drive can easily be swapped out. Brakes Like everything else, the brakes were a custom job to fit a Wilwood system. Others Full cage, KW coilovers (edit: Clubsport), Sparcos, digital dash, and all kinds of neat switches. The pictures tell a lot: Rear brakes

Amazing!! I'm sorry I didn't see you at the fest. I had a chance to talk to him as well, but that's definitely out of my price range. But I'll keep him in mind when I need a rebuild on my motor

That looks like the final product of this build. If so the KW coilovers are clubsports.
Amazing work! You should convince him to post more build articles Edit: nice pictures, thanks for posting.

If I'm not mistaken, I think this car was at the Long Beach Grand Prix not too long ago.

I would love to have the E60 M5 V10 & SMG in the M Coupe.

I talked to them about that, and they said it's doable but very expensive. They said they had a lot of trouble finding an engine when they went to swap the V10 into the E92. They ended up buying two wrecked M5's and parting them both out. It was cheaper to swap in the S54 and slap a turbo on it.
