Corsas fitted

Pirelli P Zero Corsa, 225/40 18 Front, 255/35 18 Rear.

It is just amazing how these tyres work. Limits are pushed around 10 % higher in comparison with ContiSportContact in M3 spec. They make Z4MC a true sportscar, grip and handling is awesome, wheelspin is almost impossible all understeer is gone. I will test them on track during weekend and write more....

Judging from the tread depth, it looks like you won't be driving much in the rain...and if you do, DSC will be kicking in non-stop or you'll spin like crazy

Yes, those are mainly "dry" tyres. But they work much better than standard even on wet track, only deeper slops are problem. But be sure you will sacrifice 10 or 20 kms of speed in intensive rain (it is just a little worse in comparison with standard tyres, no suicide) as soon as you see how those tyres work in dry or wet conditions.

And Z4MC is not an everyday car (at least for me), so you dont have to use everyday tyres, you can just chose your car every morning according to current weather But if you use Z4MC as the only car, than standard tyres are less problematic choice.

But if you see Corsas in action... It is really wonderful, believe me...

Good point, I forget that not everyone wants to drive their M Coupe to work everyday, like I do. But then again, I like showing it off!!!

Just as a followup have you gotten a chance to drive these tires in the rain yet?

Yes, even on Nurburgring. They are very good on wet track, much better than standard tyres, but quite problematic in heavy rain in deeper slops. But this means that you cannot drive 200 km/or more on highway, but you can go normally around standard speed limits without any problem.

I do not want any other tyres for Z, these (or Pilot Sport Cups) make the cary so fast and easy to push hard...

I do find it hard to believe that with such little tread, that those tires are better than stock in the rain. My 2 cents

^+1
& the tread pattern doesn't look like it could evacuate much water.

Those are amazing tires. When its time to change you may also like the Pilot Sport Cups...however I'm not sure if they are available in your size

I havent heard about the Cups, where do those fit in the michelin range of tires? is it a pure summer tire above the PS2 or is it some kind of all-season mix tire ?

the Cups are the Corsa's of Michelin. They are above the PS2 and come standard on the M3 CSL. They have little dots in them that could be cut as well to provide better wet traction.

second link has tire sizes, first is a quick overview. They are amazing tires, but I have no doubt that the Corsa's are amazing as well.

Yeah, Cups are really good too, the result is very similar. My friend got them on 130i and I think they are better in deepr water. But they are not available in my size, I will have to buy 19" and use the same size as on CSL...

I think you dont understand me, my english is not perfect. You have to differentiate between wet track, when it is just moisty or how to say it, and when it is full of water in heavy rain. In first case, the grip of Corsas is perfect, in the second case is very poor because of little tread.

It is no problem to go 250 kmh in little or after the rain, the grip is fantastic. But is is a problem to go more than 90 kmh in heavy rain, it is a neverending aquaplaning when you try to go more. Thats the whole story, do you understand me?
