Obviously she didn't notice whatever was either under her thighs, or in that general area on her skirt.

Anyhow... it's on the thigh bolster on the passenger seat. Any ideas on htf I'm going to fix this? Thx

Seriously check around and see if you have a leather restoration company around that does work for the dealers.

I feel bad for both of you. I'm sure your wife feels just terrible as well....

Yeah, find a good shop and see what they can do. My only other thought would be this leather care method which might help....

I really don't think you are going to find an good solution for this damage. Typically, leather does not have a lot of options for repair. (Despite TV ads.) You might look at a leather softener to rub it out. Depending upon how that goes, I might do that a few times until the scratches start to blend with the surrounding leather. I.e., don't worry about it too much. Try to blend in the scratches over time, blend it and mold it . . . it is leather. Dutch

those look like pretty deep scratches, and i'm not sure they can be rubbed out with any kind of conditioner. as per suggestions so far, take it into an interior upholstery shop or something?

You may be able to make the scratches less visible by applying some red shoe polish (not sure how easy that is to find). I have applied black shoe polish (the liquid kind) with good results on my Z3's leather seats where the bolsters were worn.

You may want to consider some seat covers to prevent future damage. I got some cloth seat covers from the BMW dealer. I like them. More comfortable than leather in the hot summer weather. And I no longer "stress out" when my 10 year daughter sometimes puts her feet on the seats.

Thx for the suggestions. I think I may be forced to get my thigh bolster re-wrapped with fresh leather. The question is, would the dealership be able to help me out with color matching it, or is would it be easy/impossible to do so? Maybe a good leather shop?

Had imola-red seats on my '06 Z4MR and the side bolster was prematurely worn. The upholstery guy that the dealer hired tried 3 times to color-match (by using some fancy device hooked up to a laptop to determine the exact shade) but could not match the imola-red dye. The dealer ended up replacing the seat cover altogether. I don't know - maybe a better upholstery shop would have been able to match the dye.

Now I just drive around with the BMW OEM Z4M seat covers; it looks ugly but as least they protect the seats.

While my seat has not been damaged, I have the same fear everyday as the girlfriend usually wears jeans and/or mini skirts with studs or "bling-bling" in the rear and when she leaves the car I can see the mini stress marks on the seat.

Sorry see the damage, you must have freaked when you saw that.

It's too bad, but ultimately repairable.
If restoration methods don't prove satisfactory, you can have an upholsterer replace the leather on that bolster.

That is a great idea to have her ride in the car wearing only a thong so as to not damage the leather seat, but then I'd have a very hard time trying to concentrate on the driving.

I took my car to Park Place as it had a scratch on the bolster, they did a decent job, PM me and I can show you my bolster.

Metropolitan Detail and Benchmark also said they could take care of it but they were more expensive.

Thanks for all the responses. I'm going to exhaust a 'quick fix' b4 I try replacing the leather.
Although, I called BMW for kicks to see if I could replace just the thigh support upholstery, and they emailed me this:

So not sure if that's what I'm after. The guy quoted me $75.00 CAD for the part (1). Seems WAY too cheap, and he said there was no leather code associated with this. Think I'll phone another dealership. This guy sounded like a complete waste of time. So my quest continues...
