Finally found a Z4 M roadster - need advice

All - I've always wanted an M roadster - picking up an '07 on Sunday - I need some advice - the car currently has 55k miles - the present owner says he did Inspection 2 himself - I'm not sure whether to trust him, so I figured it won't hurt to get it done again - what is the ballpark cost of this service at a dealer versus a private shop? What minimally, needs to be done? Anything else I need to consider doing at this mileage/age?
I really want to do the Stromung exhaust in a few months..
Thanks

Inspection II are around $1000~$1200.
Change out all fluids and check all bushing is all I'll do to bring up to par.
Then the mod can start...

You might pay that an an indy, but its at least $2k at a dealer. And thats if they don't find anything needing repair.

You should not buy the car if you can't trust the owner with the service! Check the valve cover gasket and see if the rubber gasket is still nice and fresh. Most of the time, the car will run a bit quieter with a recent valve serviced (i know it is kinda hard for you to tell since you dont have a refference point).
I would recommend check the vehicle throughly (or pay for PPI).
Valve job would set you back over $1k at the dealer, $500-$700 at indie shop and less than $200 diy.
Congrats and good luck with the purchase.

Buy the shim tool and kit and do it yourself. Costs about 400 and you can do them from then on out yourself. Fairly straight forward and there are some excellent diy guides online to assist.

Or search M3forums, there are couple guys renting the kit for $50 plus whatever shims you used. I bought a used set, did it myself and sold it for the same price i bough it for.

Thanks -about the trust issue - I'm the skeptic - the last thing I need is something serious happens because I skimped on forking out 1200-1500 bux.
The car drives great; looks great and the car fax is clean - I ran the VIN thru' BMWNA - it did get a new transmission (under warranty) at 42K miles.
I called an indie I used for a tune on my S4 - he will do INSP II and the valves for $1500 - he will also replace the air filter with a K&N - so, it's booked in with him next week.
I'm looking forward to adding this new toy to my stable!

For sure - pics up next week - I pick it up on Sunday - it's crazy, but I'm really excited about picking up the roadster - I think the top down is going to be a novelty to me - also, it is also a space gray, but bone stock for now - I see you have tasteful mods
