reputable bmw shop in san antonio?

im pretty sure that i have an exhaust leak from my headers. ive been to bmw san antonio and got the "yeah thats normal" speech (although they had a 3.0 that had the same sound, though not nearly as bad). Point of the story is i would like to find a shop that is capable of checking to see if it is in fact a leak, something else, or nothing.

any ideas here in SA or Austin will work

this is a pretty late reply, but this indy place has a bunch of very favorable reviews - http://sanantonio.citysearch.com/pro...to_repair.html. i've been meaning to check it out should i ever have any issues that the san anton bmw folks are either unable to diagnose or too lazy to do a proper job.

alternatively, look for the owner, karen mgerian, at 'mgm auto' - http://sanantonio.citysearch.com/pro...to_repair.html. my friend bought a '00 540i from him some months back and he specializes in bmw and mercedes. very shady looking place, but his mechanical knowledge is pretty sound. plus, he can provide contacts at bmw of san antonio where he says a few of his close friends work at.

Another late response....

I can vouch for Rhine West as well....very methodical and knowledgeable group of folks.
Getting your car worked on there will not be cheap, however, they are also efficient and very fair (will not overcharge hours). If you want the job done right by a group of BMW specialists, look no further.

There's a newer shop that's been open for a little more than a year, Bavarian Auto off Starcrest. I have dealt with them as well; reliable as well, hourly rates slightly lower than Rhine West.
