lol I do that as well. I always plan ahead to see where I need to go if there are parking spaces for the Z as well haha

2006 Z4M Coupe - purchased 5/23/2012 with 30,500 miles, now has about 37,322 so about 1,400 miles per year.

I don't purposely not drive it, I just don't have a lot of chances. Work out of my house or travel long distances for work and have to take a sedan, don't drive it in Winter, don't drive get it out in bad weather (just can't see the point), don't get it out to drive a couple of miles for errands, don't drive it downtown to sketchy parts of town, it's in the garage at the end of the driveway with two cars in the way that need to be moved to the street, wife and I go on vacation and often take the dog, etc.

I'm happy with the ownership, costs about $500 a year for insurance, maintenance is very limited, never had a repair in the 5 years, value is pretty close to what I bought it for.

2006 Z4MR - purchased July 2017 with 27800 miles and pushing a crazy 28,200.
Its my weekend car, I have two other vehicles in the household.
Car has been solid, looking at doing some preventive maintenance later this year.

2006 Z4MC

Bought in 2008 with 9,300 miles on it...now has 152,000 miles on it.

Most things have been replaced at some point (due to upgrades or accidents), with the exception of the shell, interior and gearbox.

Was a daily driver until the last accident, which kept it off the road for 6 months due to arguing with the insurance company over what damage was/wasn't caused by the accident.

In the meantime I bought a shitter, 120,000 mile Alfa 147 JTD 8v (115hp), and it's done a couple of trackdays, a couple of Ring trips and is still on the tyres, brakes & pads that I fitted when I bought it. Not the fastest thing in the world, but it's sub-10 at the 'Ring

Up to 165k miles. On a related note, I counted the number of clutch engagements this morning on the way to work.
194 clutch engagements in gear over 1.5 hours. Good exercise of my OCD.
Didn't include times I hit the clutch to knock it into neutral.
I did have an unusually fortunate string of green lights on a surface street and an unusually fortunate long run at 20 mph behind a big-rig on the freeway.
So 200 clutch engagements in gear one way is a good estimated average.
400 per day, 4 days a week, since Feb 2011.

I'm almost to 500,000 !!!

Wow. That's wild. Is your left leg bigger than your right leg? :-)

Pretty sure it is. Left leg was my long jump/triple jump leg in High School track.

Right arm is bigger, too.

I would have gone with "That's not my left leg. Nor my right."

2006 Z4M coupe with 115,000 and I drive it every chance I get.

I had one semi-major repair that I believe was needed before I bought the car 7 months ago. It always had this sort of crunchy sound that would come from the rear diff. One day it started clunking terribly like someone was hitting the drive train with a sledgehammer when I put it in gear. Managed to limp it to my mechanic and found that two diff bolts that hold it to the frame were out. This caused the axle shaft to work at a bad angle and it went out. A new axle shaft and a couple of bolts and it's good as new. Not so bad as I assumed I would have to fix something on an 11 year old sports car with over 100K miles.

In my commitment to drive it as much as possible, it got up to 50 degrees F this weekend so I took it on a nice long drive on Saturday.

Bought my Z4MC a month ago at 37900 miles. Drove it home through CO, UT, NV and finally home to CA and added 2400 miles to it, so now its at 40300. Man what an experience, I loved every second of it.
