S54 Oil Pressure sender port.....
I'm looking for a port into the oil gallery to add a sender for oil pressure.
Obviously it has to be a pressure port , not just a return gallery. I know there's a spare port beside the OE oil temp sender, but it's a SOB to get to under the OE airbox. With the OE airbox there is far less access space than what Beedub & crfine88 have under their ESS airbox. (who have used the spare port location) IMO its not really a workable solution w/o a LOT of work. I definitely do NOT want to use the oil filter top adapters where the sender is on top of the lid. For me it has to be more of an OE looking installation. I was looking at two possibilities. The one with pink arrow looks to go right into the oil gallery. It's fairly tight to the oil cooler lines, so no room for the sender. ...but you might be able to install an oil line and remote mount the sender. The other possibility is the blue arrow location. It looks to be a drain down for the filter housing. I've not yet fully explored, but there is lots of room for the sender, but it may be a little small. Anyone been down this road already???? Looking for any and all comments before I dig in further.

Interested as well. I don't have my car in front of me to check, but can you not gain access by removing the OE airbox?

Found a local source for the tool to remove the Oetiker flush clamps w/o breaking the bank on the OE tool.. I also don't like the idea of potential line failure & the possibility of having to bleed the line. In this thread Ron Stygar remote mounted an oil sender, but he still used the main pressure block location.
