E86 M coupe extended leather specifications

Am having difficulty finding out exact specs for extended leather on the Z4 M coupe (not Roadster).

Questions:

1. Is headliner covered in leather?
2. Are A-Pillars covered in leather?
3. Is the upper center console area between torso area of the front seats covered in leather? On the Roadster it is, but can't tell on the Coupe.

Odd that the roadster has leather on the A-pillars, but the coupe doesn't.

(Frankly, I just think it's a PITA anyway.
Nobody has ever gotten into my car and said "Wow, nice A-pillars".)

I never even knew the rooadster had leather a-pillars. I guess for the coupe if the A pillars were leather than the headliner, as well as the b-pillars would also need to be leather because they connect. would look awkard to have leather a-pillars to stop when it gets to the headliner lol

ext leather seems like a ripoff on the coupe. All you get are a few extra strips on the doors and center console oh and sun visors. NO windshield frame, no dashboard and no seatbacks.

No wonder very few coupe owners spec'd it out when new for $2700. On the Roadster, the leather around the windshield frame is very striking and makes the car look very luxurious.

I think it would be more odd if the Coupe had leather A-pillars then the leather just terminated at the headliner and went to cloth. The Coupe should have had Alcantara pillars and roof with the extended leather package in my opinion.

Had extended leather on my M5 and loved it and hated it at the same time... extremely luxurious, but not sure if its worth the extra hassle of always trying to park in shade and spending hours conditioning all the leather.

Coupe still gets you everything in leather the Roadster gets except pillars and roll bars, unless I am missing something?

Heres a roadster with the extended leather

Leather covered a-pillars? Do they make creaking noises like the plastic ones??

Also curious to see imola extended, I wonder if it's as visually-loud as I'm imagining it to be

Edit: looks like the roll hoops get black leather regardless what color interior you have, are the pillars the same way?

IMHO, ex. leather is the best option my car. It gives it an 'expensive' feel and that leather smell in to die for

Okay so help me out guys.... I've been researching this since I bought my car and it doesn't seem like anybody has a definitive answer since extended leather seems to be different in various countries. Anyway... Here are some pics of my interior... Doors appear to be all leather and the visors are as well. But, the center console isn't covered at all. I also read the if you have the strip down the center of your seats then you have extended leather... So do I or do I not have extended leather? BTW... The registry lists "volleder new england/beige (LBAB) "for my Vin.

Wait... On tablet and not sure how to attach pics so I'll try later when on a computer. But... The doors are all leather with the stitching as well as the visors.

the sides of your center console and and center from ebrake up should be leather as well. waiting on pics

example; center console in light sepang is leather. normally it would be black

I can not get pics to load... File is too big and too lazy to resize on the tablet. Lol. But yeah... Center console is definitely not covered but everything else that seems to be part of the ex. Leather package is present.

Okay... Pics should be posted. Lighting sucks since car is parked for the winter.

Looks all leather so far.
My seats don't look like that. They have no center rib and have extendable fronts edges.
What about:
A) The A-pillar covers
B) The piece across the top of the windshield that the visors bolt into
C) Along the sides of the of the center storage, up to between the roll hoops
D) The roll hoop covers

Well I have a coupe so a pillar and windshield surround are cloth along with the headliner. As far as I can tell everything matches what the extended leather should look like on a U.S. coupe other than the center console.

Just stumbled across this thread that I had completely forgotten about. Just an update for anybody curious. I was able to verify that the embossed pattern down the center of the seat bottom is an indication of New England Extended Leather. Which means that in my case I do have the extended leather option, even though my center console isn't wrapped.

Also, the New England Leather which is part of the extended package is a step up in quality over the standard Z4 leather. SO, you're paying for higher quality leather, AND you're getting more of it... although not a whole lot more in the case of the coupe... entire door, visors and possibly center console.

Personally I like having the top of the door in leather, plastic would have seemed really cheap on a car that originally retailed for as much as these did. And I can definitely say that the leather in my Z is WAY nicer than what was in any of my 3 series.
