I can just hear Yosemite Sam now! WE sit just low enough to tear stuff up. I backed off of one the other day and about tore my cover loose.

I use the reflections from the cars next to me to judge how far I am from curbs

I guess it's there so no one gets too close to or hits that column. Still lame. Hope there's not too much damage.

I know how you feel.
I had my car 10 days when it got shotgunned by a gravel spreading snow plow.
My bumper cover now looks like the Moon.

I've scraped my fangs to the point where yeah, "at least it's functional" and I don't care as much anymore. At least you can rip on it now and not worry

Got a couple scratches under my front lip. Don't know how they got there. You can't see them.

Never hit anything. I have park assist that even picks up those parking curbs.

I guess stones get sucked up.

That front lip is low.

of the top of anyone's head do y'all know of any good warning alarms for you park? it be nice to retrofit one to the front as I have hit those things time and time again. And its bad when you see people turn and make that "OOOOOOOhhhhhhh" face.

Thanks guys. The damage isnt that bad but it still makes me cringe. It is only that spot with an extra parking curb and since it is on the right side when i looked at the car on the left's reflection when i park i couldnt see it :/ the sound was so loud it sounded like the bumper snapped. There are also many other pillars but only that one spot has it.

Always reverse park. Always, No exceptions, and always be mindful of steep driveways, I've never touched my front bumper against anything and I'm lowered with an APR lip.

My buddy did almost the same thing last month on his Z4. We took a look at it and the damage looked like a cluster of stone chips. I've used DrColorChip to fix stone chips in the past with great success so my buddy ordered a kit for his car. If your paint damage is similar, that may be a cheap, easy and effective fix for you.

Cheers and good luck!

I am not sure on this... I'd rather take a hit in the fangs/bumper than in the cans. Bumper can be easily fixed and sprayed.. Cans not so much so...esp if you got after markets...

I can't believe you parked next to what looks like a rusty old Toyota.
