Wheel Lug Bolt Socket w/Protective Inner Coating and Wheel Locks Question....

Is there a lug bolt socket that has an inner soft coating to prevent scratching the lug bolts??

Recommendations for wheel locks??

I just purchased OZ Ultralelggeras in black and ordered Turner Motorsports black wheel lug bolts.

Thanks

Google 1/2" Lug Nut Impact Sockets and you'll find several choices. I bought my lug nut sockets from Harbor Freight Tools.
Grey Pneumatic Corp sells a high quality set SKU 1503TP for around $20. I have one of those too

Thanks Rick!
The OZ rear fitment requires 20mm spacers....so the lub bolts need to be 20mm longer. I'll contact McGard and ask if there is a fitment for this app.

Oi... in that case then you're probably going to need p/n 27013 or 27014

But they're not black-faced

Just sent this to McGard:

McGard Wheel Locks for 2007 BMW Z4M Roadster / REQUEST FOR INFORMATION‏

Greetings -

I just purchased a 2007 BMW Z4M Roadster. I am replacing the stock wheels with OZ Ultralegerra 18 inch rims, painted black. The lug bolts that ship w/the OZ's from Tire Rack are chrome, so I ordered black lug bolts from Turner Motorsports.

Here is where it gets interesting....
The front rim offsets are nearly the same:
Stock: 42mm
OZ's: 40mm

If I use stock length lug bolts (the black bolts from Turner Motorsports) will the bolts be too long, or too short by 2mm? Do you have a black locking lug bolt in the appropriate length? If not, is there a plus or minus factor that allows a 2mm (too long or too short) factor?

-------------------------------------------------------------

The rear rim offsets are different:
Stock: 30mm
OZ's: 40mm

Tire Rack stated I need a 20mm spacer to ensure the wheel assembly is back in the exact same location as the stock wheels. Pls offer your comment on this. Also, do you have a black locking bolt in the appropriate length?

If you just have chrome, can you apply the black finish, so I have black finished lug bolts on my new OZ black wheels?

stock 18's:
front: et 42
rear: et 30

oz 18's:
front: et 40
rear: et 40

O.Z. Ultraleggera
Finish: Black Painted

Front Fitment
18x8
Offset: 40mm
Backspacing: 6.10"
Bolt Pattern: 5-120
Rec. Tire Size:225/45-18
Weight: 18.6lbs.

Rear Fitment
18x9
Offset: 40mm
Backspacing: 6.57"
Bolt Pattern: 5-120
Rec. Tire Size:255/40-18
Weight: 20.8lbs.

Thanks very much - my new OZ rims arrive appx 15 Apr and I want to install on Fri 16 Apr, if possible (with McGard locking lug bolts, of course) (:

Thanks very much - pls call and/or email to:

Bruce
