Uh oh. E85 brakes

Got all the brakes done. Bleeding driver front. Bleeder screw broke off

Looks like my option is drilling it out or new caliper.

Anyone have any extraction ideas for a bleeder screw?

The torque on those bleeders isn't much and (obviously) it's a softer material than something like a door mounting screw. I've not had a problem using mine.

You should be able to get it out. A screw extractor set like above and some gentle heat is your best bet. If you can carefully drill the ID of the bleeder larger you could use the next size up extractor. Be careful of the heat brake fluid is flammable.

Worst case scenario remove the caliper from the car and carry it into a competent mechanic/ machinist. They should be able to make quick work of it.

Even though the torque isn't much on those, there is a tapered seat that seals it off. I suspect it is seized to the taper. Heat will help break it loose, I would remove the caliper, remove the fluid from it, and judiciously heat what is left of the bleeder. An easy out should work at that point.

the screw got striped out some.. I have a new caliper coming so i'll just use this as backup.. haha.. so once the new one is here, ill take this one out and probably rebuilt it and save for next time.
