Sure, I'll send Ronald an e-mail right now and see if it's possible. So just the two of you guys are requesting the threaded?

Hope that helps =/
^Thanks.
In that case I'll probably go back to the stock knob.
...I'll see if there's a way to add a little weight to it.

Ronald says he needs specs for those of you that need threaded tops for your special shift knobs. Please PM me if you need those, so that I can let him know ASAP!

Also, he may hafta charge up to $20 more to ship kits outside of the USA.

RHD model will not be an issue. You're covered.

JB Weld can be a way to add weight as well if there is a void where the stuff can be poured in. I (some what shamefully admit) have an '89 Camaro that I put a different shifter in and it had a smaller diameter threaded end on it than stock. So, I just filled up the hole in the knob with JB Weld, drilled it and tapped it for the correct thread size and it worked out great, and added a bit of weight too. It may or may not work for our application, dunno because I've never had the stock knob off to see what it looks like.

No problem; I assume that will be sorted via email from Ronald?

Yes, I'm assuming that he will go through the list of everyone's contact info and proceed to collect funds thereafter.
But I'm pretty sure he won't start requesting funds until AFTER the kits have finished production and are ready to be shipped out.

This was Ronald's response in regards to the threaded top request:

That's not a problem but I cannot guarantee against breakage at or above the threaded area. the standard shaft is approx 15mm in diameter. For a shift knob to safely work you would need the threads to be used strictly for retaining the knob and not to be subject to shear. I.e you would need the knob to apply force to the 15mm shaft and not to the threads. Thus the knob in question must be checked for dimensions that would allow the force to be applied to the 15mm shaft. please remember that the outer lever is 6061 t6 aluminium and not steel.
Hope that explains my position in this regard.

I told him that you guys wanted 10x1.25 thread pitch, at 1 inch length down from the top tip of the lever.

Diokef and Dorifto, please let me know ASAP if you guys still want to proceed with the threaded request. All these need to be sorted out before Ronald can go ahead into production.

The GB list is filled right now anyway, so you'd have to wait to see if someone doesn't pay up. Then you could probably take the opening spot =P
There was absolutely no play in the shifter when I test-drove. It was actually so solid that it felt tight. I know we all like that tight feel >_^

As for the threaded tops, we've all decided to not take any risks and just go with OEM-style shift knobs instead

So unfortunately we're slightly behind schedule. Ronald informed me of production plans this upcoming week instead of this past week

I'm kind of antsy to get this kit in my car as I'm planning on tracking the car more and more.

Please bear with me guys! I want this to be finished and ready just as much as anyone, if not moreso

Wait what?! So he's making more than 10? Cuz as far as I know, everyone on the GB list plans on paying up whenever they're ready.
