Hauling fuel to the track

I apologize if this has been covered before as I searched and couldn't find a topic.
I'm wondering what you do for fuel at the track? My track is out in the middle of nowhere and the race fuel at the track is $10.00 a gallon so I haul fuel in a 5 gallon can. My issues is I need more fuel for a full track day. I easily burn through a tank plus 5 gallons before the day is through! Since I trailer my car to the track I have room to haul a fuel tank. I'd like to bring at least 15 gallons with me so I was wondering what others are doing for this?

I ran the car out of fuel on the track yesterday and I need to address this.

Sorry. I don't trailer and just drive to the gas station at lunch time. Just curious, why use race fuel?

I don't use the race fuel it's too expensive and no real significant gain that I've noticed with the stock s54.
Yeah the nearest gas stations 22 miles away! 😔

Since you trailer to the event location you could pick up one of these. Lot's of sources and you can get larger capacity if you want.

You already have a 5 gallon jug. Fill up one of these 15 gallon ones and use the 5 gallon to refuel.

dc_wright I looked at that fuel caddy and I was concerned about the gravity fill, fill rate, and elevation needed to empty the caddy. Reviews are showing that getting the last gallon out is impossible.

Hack- I've seen this fuel container at the track and it looks legit but I would need the pump which is another $200 😔

I might just pick up a few more 5 gallon cans and spend the money savings on the car.

Along the same lines how much fuel are you going through at the track? I'm getting about 5 miles a gallon and that's a tank of fuel in about 4 track sessions.

Most of the tracks I go to has a gas station within a 10 minute drive except for Chuckwalla. And Chuckwalla has a on-site gas pump that has a reasonable price.

I get between 5-6 miles per gallon depending on how power hungry each track is. I can go about 3.5 sessions before needing to fuel up, but since I started instructing I haven't had the opportunity to drive more than 3 sessions per day (it is taxing to drive, then hop right into a student's car, then drive, then hop back and rinse and repeat for a whole day).

This is what I use...mounted it to my trailer and fill up at the last gas station before I get to the track. Youll also need the filler hose which is another $10 I think.

If you need more and are at the track you could always put the fuel jugs in your towing vehicle and drive to a gas station during lunch.

Thanks for all the ideas! Winter is just about here so the car is going to be off the track for the next several months for maintenance and some upgrades. Just got back from my last track day yesterday and picked up some cheap 5 gal cans to get me by. I'll more than likely go with something more permanent next year.
