Buy another set of tires and wheels. I have a set of Goodyear F1 AS tires on my stock wheels for my everyday wheels. My other set is for track insanity (BBS RGR with Michelin Sport Cups). All those cars you see on youtube sliding around in the snow in the winter are likely a result of people ignoring the warnings about their tires, lack of snow driving skills, or both.

FWIW--Here in Germany you can be fined if you drive a car in the winter months without snow or all season tires. You ever notice when the car blings at you when the temperature is 37 degrees or below? That's the limit of most summer tires traction ability. You should heed the outside temperature as well as whether the road is wet or dry. On cold roads with summer tires, you're less likely to get feedback from your tires before it's too late (tire squeel).

Cool. I have gotten used to not getting feedback. This is the first car I have owned that has had performance tires on it My mustang taught me to drive well in the snow... that is for sure.

Couldn't agree more, stock wheels for winter tires, cool aftermarkets for summer. Driving in the winter is a whole new experience when you have the right shoes on. RWD with winter handles better than FWD with all season treads...

I've heard the RE's that Yal has are better than the RFT's but not as good as the F1's. There are a couple of F1's models. Mine are GSD3's that are actually called summer tires. But I live in Calif and never go to the snow.

Oh, and don't mix RFT's with non RFT's. And, why were you not rotating them every few months? Lol!!

On a 2006 z3.0i tires cannot be rotated different size from front to rear. Do not know what he drives they may all be this way?
