Z4M Xpipe with OEM exhaust
Hi guys, been thinking about getting an exhaust soon.
But it got me thinking about getting a xpipe with the stock exhaust, how would that sound? i havent heard a clip of xpipe on stock exhaust. Anyone have experience on this? Thanks! |

I ran a SS X pipe with stock cams for some time. It was nice. Felt a bit more open and added a nice growl. No night-and-day difference however. Now headers. . .

i see, so changing the headers and xpipe will make the most difference?
My friend has an e92 m3 and changing the xpipe made the car sound more high pitch on higher rpms. does that apply for the z4m? |

Bringing this back from the dead.
Any noticeable improvements from swapping X-Pipes and doing secondary resonator delete? I'm trying to look for something that's cheap, doesn't drone, and just has a much more defined/louder/easier to hear sound at WOT. |

You will probably notice a little volume increase but not much. I was running remus cans for a while with the oem x-pipe and recently added the RE x-pipe. There was a definite volume increase after the x-pipe install but not night and day difference like it was after I added the exhaust.
For your criteria above I would recommend the Remus exhaust. Its in line cost wise with most exhausts on the market and will not drone or sound obnoxious. I wouldn't bother with an x-pipe on an otherwise stock exhaust... |
