Secret button Z4M Coupe
Doesn't seem to do anything. Has a little light in it flashing sometimes.
Car seems to drive fine. Apparently the limiter was removed, it has a KKS backcat with button operated valve and there is a Meta Systems T30 tracking device glued to the battery. But don't think any of those has anything to do with this secret button :-) If you have any ideas I'd love to hear them, thanks ! |

Your car has several aftermarket add-ons, one of which definitely involves a button and the other of which certainly might. You're not sure this thing is associated with them? Or you KNOW it is not associated with them? Because the first thing I would assume is that it is.

It won't be linked to the valve exhaust, that has its own secret button. And limiter removal is ecu software related, it won't have a hardware button. But regarding that T30 tracker device it could indeed be related. I doubt it but still could be. The T30 is a standalone unit stickied to the battery with only two wires connected directly to the battery and a subscription based mobile app. But maybe the button is some kind of bluetooth on / off button for it. So you can stop the tracker logging vehicle speed when you want to go speeding or something. So I will pry it open and see if it's a standaone button as well. If there are wires running from it then I doubt it's linked to the T30 as that unit has nothing more connected to it than the two battery wires. Unless they are wires to power the little led and the bluetooth signal to the T30 in the trunk. It's just really cumbersome, I actually have no clue. Hence I'm trying my luck here |
