I've hesitated to make any tire comments in the various discussions I've read on the board, as I've had little side by side comparison experiences. I will say, however, that I've owned the Hankook V12's for about 3,000 miles. I've found them to be very good noise and grip wise. The only time I notice that they give up a little on the grip is when it is cold--otherwise I think they are great.
I doubt you'll need to worry about cold very much, and with the heavy rain showers you experience, I think you'll be highly impressed with their handling. Lew |

I need all new tires as well and I'm a little hesitant about which tires to buy. This car really sees duty all year round, not just summer, so I am debating about the all weather Conti-DWS tires. This car only sees regular road duty. If i take it to the track, it will be on different tires anyways. So, are all season tires the way to go?

Sounds like the Hancock's have a pretty good rating. I need rear tires as well because mine has a gash in the sidewall on the driver's side. I'm at 23000 miles now on the OE Conti's. Do you think it would be a good idea to just change them all out now? I was only going to buy 2 rear, but some people are telling me to replace all 4. Dealership wants $365 per tire, so that's not happening there.

Anyone recommend an all season tire?

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S plus. I have this on my 5 series and considered getting it for the Z4 as well. Highest rates UHP all season tire you can get. Very quiet and substantially better traction than summer tires in winter weather conditions. Not like snow tires but much better than summer tires.
