DKF hangers - looking for first hand experience with drone/vibration reduction
My exhaust has an intense drone around 2-3K RPM. I'm not sure if it's from simply volume or if it is so loud in the cabin due to vibration being transferred by contact into the body somehow.
Does anyone have first hand experience with DKF exhaust hangers and aftermarket/loud exhaust/drone? Were there any noticeable affects on interior drone or audible vibration? |

Reduction in drone is very minimal, almost not noticeable. Reduction in vibration is there if you torque everything right, but again, nothing earth shattering. Biggest positive for these are the adujustability for sure.

I agree with gferil completely. Especially in a roadster you aren't going to have much luck getting rid of the drone. I just put these on my M roadster and they did help a little with vibration, but not drone. I'm also using RPI mufflers so they're pretty damn loud to begin with.

Strange comments here.
TNZ4MC swears by them that they cut 95% of the drone. http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=884579 What is the real deal on them. Do they work for eliminating drone or not? Very confused. I love the sound of my Diablo's but the drone when in low rpm 2-3K is distracting. All aftermarket exhausts have some drone from what I have read so there must be a fix or some mods to reduce it that works.

Some induced vibration; yes. Adjustability; absolutely. You can't cure drone by isolating the system, it has to be tuned out. Google exhaust drone, for tons of info.

they are good very good, the only thing that concerns me is how stressed the isolators appear to be even when Tq'd very lightly.
