Z4MC: Finally put on the Comp-Hs!
Was at a car meet this weekend and someone was kind enough to snap a picture of my car with the new wheels on. Figured I'd share. They're 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear. Tires are 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear -- Bridgestone RE-01R's.

I'll snap some this evening.
But I should point out that the offsets for the rear on an M are completely different from the non-M so the wheels look completely different. The M fitment have that sunken-in concaveness to them whereas the non-M rears look like the fronts without any sort of concavity. That said, if you're interested in putting these wheels on your non-M please let me know. I have been sort of hording these wheels since they're really not made anymore. Since I had a 330Ci before the Z4M, I have wheels that would fit a non-M Z4, too. More specifically, I have a set of 19x8" that are in pristine condition... |

As simple as this question seems, it actually has a very complex answer. Ready?
I used to have a 330Ci. I purchased four 19x8" wheels from TireRack for that car and put them on. I wanted to run a slightly staggered setup so I purchased a pair of 19x8.5" for the rear from a forum member on e46Fanatics. Before I had a chance to put those on, I purchased the Z4MC and started returning my 330Ci to stock. Knowing that the true rear fitment for the Z4MC was a 19x9.5" wheel, I started looking for those. I managed to purchase just one in this size from TireRack in hopes of eventually finding another to match. That search was long and hard and eventually I found someone selling a full set in M3 fitment for relatively cheap so I jumped on that which gave me two more 19x8.5" wheels and two more 19x9.5" wheels. That brought my total collection of SSR Comp-H wheels to 11! I had four 19x8's, four 19x8.5's, and three 19x9.5's. What you see on the car are two 19x8.5's in front and two 19x9.5's in back. So the short answer to the question I'm sure you're getting at, is that these are hard to find and unless you special order them from SSR (which you can do for around $600-$650 a wheel), you need to find them used. |

Thanks for the answer... My ideal is 18" with offsets for the Z4M... I'll prolly go with the TR Motorsports MT1s, as they are easier to get. |

I hear ya there. The TR Motorsports are pretty cool wheels. If I hadn't already embarked on the epic journey for put together a set of 19" Comp-H's I probably would have went that route.
That said, even the 19" Comp-H's are super light. The fronts are just under 20lbs and the rears are just over. And I've done driving in both Manhattan and Boston and they've held up quite well to road craters. (I'm knocking on wood, don't worry) |
