I guess my lack of hair is making me ask this question, but why would you need this? The amount of wind that is in my cockpit, is very minimal.

+1 for lexan and Windblox. The windscreen is much less expensive but still has a lifetime warranty with it, and as some of you guys have mentioned, the mesh is way too annoying when it comes to visibility. Picked mine up for about $130 with tint and it looks awesome.

Yeah, they really focus on their customer service and quality control. Whenever my friends buy from them, they always come back with the best stories. I wish all companies were like that and actually cared about their customers.

Install only took about 20 minutes.
Roadster Solutions - $245.00 I am very pleased. So is the wife. Excuse the dirty car. Pics taken after the wind deflector install but before the wash, polish,& detailing. Looks like I need to re-size my pics. Last edited by Nhopkins1394; 08-20-2010 at 11:29 PM.. |

Also just purchased the clear one from Roadster Solutions. Fits perfect and does a nice job at reducing air flow. Also, the design is bowed slightly to eliminate headlight glare from behind.

same here.. Clear one fromm Roadster Solutions. Install took me about 35 minutes and was pretty simple. Looks really good too. The hardest part for me was pushing the small rubber mounts into the grooves under the roll hoops. Mine looks identical to the one on the black Z4 posted just above.

Hey guys,
Those Roadster Solutions windscreens look very nice! I've got a BMW OEM one on my car. I know folks have mentioned that they find the mesh to be a pain to look through, but I am not finding any issue there at all in that regard. Could it be that some of these had different meshes as they were manufactured over the years, making some harder to see through? Cheers!

This is the BMW windscreen kit, with a custom lexan piece that replaces the original screen material. I'll post a better picture tomorrow; trust me there's lexan in that center piece. I bought this from inTgr8r on this forum.
The factory BMW windscreen is quite expensive, but its hard frame center piece is easily removable, and has mounting rails under the under side of the trunk lid. I actually like the mesh windscreen, because it does a great job of blocking headlights, while still being clear enough to see traffic behind you. I like the lexan insert because it blocks 100% of wind, and is completely opaque. I just keep one in the trunk and the other installed at all times. |

if you are referring to my picture, my condominium garage stall happens to be next to the bike rack...and also next to a power source. small price to pay for electricity
never knew the stuff around the Z would get much more attention than the car itself!

I just figured that you had ditched the run flats and would tie a bike to the roll bars in case you got a flat.
