Right mirror stays up when commanded down?

Hi, since last week I have a problem with my right mirror. When I push the button to make both side mirrors go up or down, the right mirror goes up fine if down, but doesn't want to come down. The left mirror works fine.

Loose wire? Anyone seen this before?

Any help would be appreciated.

We in the states don't have that option. It has been added by some though so hopefully they will chime in.

They have it in Canada, maybe someone there will recognize the problem.

just to be clear, you are talking about the housing going up and down and not the glass. Right?

Kinda like the backup feature on the X3's? Their glass looks down in reverse for backing up. Cool feature but I think you're talking about the housings.

my housings fold up and down fine. it may be a mechanical problem. maybe remove the mirror and inspect inside. it unbolts from the inside

The E85/E86 Z4 never got the mirror dip in reverse thing at any trim level in any country.

Yes, this is both mirrors folding in towards the car. My wife's 335is Coupe has this feature. It can also be coded to fold in automatically when locking and fold out automatically when unlocking. Very useful in tight parking spaces or just to prevent anyone smacking them in a parking lot.
