Just got a notification that my order got shipped! Now I have to look for a paint shop. Does anyone have recommendation for a good shop in the bay area?

Not the best shots, will try to dig more up later but this is the piece underneath. It's only for non-M's since they only have a single outlet for the exhaust but others have modified the piece to fit duals.

Pheonix, try Steve at Too Good Auto in San Francisco. He does really good work. He's painted a few of my cars and they looked great (even a Honda with Silverstone Metallic Grey).

Ok, I finally sprung for a set! I was just one click of the button away last week and got sidetracked so the session timed out and the items fell out of my cart. I was afraid that I was going to miss out on the current pricing. I've been wanting a set since early last year.

Make sure you use the promo code SPRING1 to get an additional $10 off your order.

Is it $70 per side for shipping or $70 for both?

Thanks for the information. I will look into it but it is gonna be hard for me to paint them my self due to lack of garage space.

Nadaclue- Just look at my invoice and i did not see the $70 special charge! I order rear brake parts for my sister in-law's e90 so the total came to about $500 and they only charge me $29.95 for shipping and $2.95 for handling. You should contact them and check.

These are referred to as side-kilts by our UK cousins.

I just got an e-mail follow-up to my order:
"These side skirts are oversized according to UPS and carry a $70.00 flatrate charge per our site special here: http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=MorePartInfo&PartID=859039&siteid =214672&catalogid=4462"
I scanned this thread and no one mentioned this before nadaclue mentioned it just a couple of hours ago? (I was actually composing this post at the same time but got sidetracked and just got back to it.)

Based on the replies since then I'm going to call them. I'm in San Diego, that may explain the shipping charge.

Their web site has it clearly stated in RED type: **Shipping is a 70.00 flatrate within the US due to the size of the box required for shipment.

My question is as others have asked- $70 per side, or $70 total if you order two?

I'm local to getbmwparts and when I was in there, they were putting both sides in one box to save on shipping.

Every place I got a quote from in the San Diego area was the same. Just north of $700 for paint only. I installed. Expensive but totally worth it.

Yeah, I figure they might be on a high side! The things are we dong have too much garage space and hard to do anything with a 7 months son;-)
Nesrevival- how are you going to spray them? Rattle cans or spray gun? Where are located? Maybe you could spray mine;-)
