NEW WHEELS =D DB TE37's Z4MC
Some point and shoot pictures well i was waiting to eat lunch with my mother today. lol Some of you locals might recognize this plaza.
just bought off a member tonight, the wheels are: 19 x 8.5 + 30 ( 19 / 35 / 245 falken 452's ) 19 x 10.5 + 22 ( 19 / 35 / 285 falken 452's ) they came off a m3, as you can guess, those tires are way too tall for my likings; the profiles are a bit big, ideally i'd want 19 30 (do they make them this low) and 245 in the front, and 19 30 275's in the back. anyone up for trade for tires? they have 80%+ tread on them needless to say, here's some ghetto garage test fit pictures along with my iphone pictures. some members asked for more pictures of my tekcarbon headlights, and i took some for you. after i get my new "correct sized" tires, I'll post some better quality pictures. =] thanks for looking! Wheels look pretty awesome with the AW and roof, and the whole package. Tires don't seem too bad really, just from the pics...
Hey, regarding the roof, is that the carbon one or a wrap? |

thanks guys
the tires don't look so bad from the pictures, in fact, they don't even rub from the very top of the fender... however, the 285 35 series tires seem to be rubbing COMPLETELY against the part where the REAR BUMPER JOINS THE REAR QUARTER PANEL. =[ anyone else has this problem with running fatter wheels/tires on this car and rubbing there in the area i specified? im sure toning down my series to 30's would solve the problem already, but was just wondering if anyone else has this problem. my rear fender linings are cut and the fenders have a decent pull to them, but i still ahve this problem. again, sorry for the terrible pictures.. NEW TIRES = NEW PHOTOS =D |

Bad pictures, nice wheels.
as far as tires rubbing... why are you running 35 series tire in the rear with a 19" wheel and a tire width of 285? this is the second thread I seen where people complain about 285 not fitting right. But regardless, the aspect ratio should really be 30 series in the rear imo. I'm running 245/35/19 and 275/19/30 on RGR's without any issues on stock suspension.

^ why thank you for clearing that up..
as you can guess these rims/tires came off a e92 m3, it used to have spacers on them, hence the taller tire for perhaps a bigger wheel-well like the e92 m3. im also aware that if i run a 30 series tires in the back i would not rub at all, but my fronts, which is running 19 35 245, rubs lock to lock, not against the fenders, but against my the front bumper/liner area inside my wheel-well. |

OK that's cool - just offering input since it seemed you were uncertain about why you were rubbing. But it looks like you have it undercontrol so I'll shut my trap.

^ lols by no means i appreciate your input, im just asking if there's people out there that has the same tire size, it seems like you do, as me thats as low as me, im dropped to about half finger gap all around and when the front wheels are at full lock, it rubs aginst the fender liners inside...=/

To OP RE: rubbing issues at the bumper-quarter panel junction:
It may be more the offset and wheel width than anything. That 10.5" wheel with just a +22 offset is really aggressive. I also agree though, that on a 19" wheel, the 30 profile is probably optimal. Still, the wheel dimensions might be an issue for you. And you are lowered a bit too, right? That will just make an aggressive offset more likely to rub, but you probably knew that. I could be off base on the wheel dimensions issue, but I did a ton of research on the subject when I was joining the RAC RG63 GB over on M3forum.net with the E46 guys, but for my M coupe. But I'm still no wheel expert.... |

I just read the part where you were cutting the fender liner and rolling the fenders. Not a bad idea, but it might just be easier to sell the rear tires and pick the size you want...
that way you don't have to mod the car just because you bought the set from an M3 owner.. Just a thought. GL.
