Finally arrived! New to me 3.0si coupe
Hi, everyone, just wanted to say hi and thank you all for the useful information here. Most of the questions I've had when searching/purchasing a Z4 were easily answered with a search here.
After eyeing M coupes for a couple years, I decided a MT 3.0 would be sufficient. 1 of 2 in North America 3.0si coupe MT Black Sapphire with extended beige leather. |

Yep, 4AD with LBAB. When searching I didn't even consider beige until I saw this one. I realized its much whiter than I consider "beige". Still some cream to it, but its a pleasant combination. And given it will frequently be hot out when I drive it, it will be nice to have a lighter leather vs the black in my DD that's always scorching hot.

Great looking car, looks exactly like mine actually. Can we get some more pics of the extended leather? Based on the one you posted I don't see any difference in the extended leather and the basic which is what I have.

What constitutes an extended leather package? Great looking ride!
EDIT: Found it. Wish I had those sport wheels!

Thanks everyone!
I've ordered a few things to get started, and a couple interior pieces that weren't perfect I'm going to replace. Have a new storage compartment cover coming so the light will turn off in there. I've got black/white roundels, stubby, homelink mod. I will be adding a cigarette plug in the storage compartment along with a 3.5mm audio. (Those being located right by the stick is annoying). When I pull it out after this winter I will change fluids/filters, and get the windows tinted. (35%?) I was initially going to have the wheels powder coated satin black... but I'm not so sure now. It looks pretty good right now. I haven't caught anything performance wise that appears to be significant enough, except for a LSD, but that's too much to jump into now. I did a lot of searching for this exact question. I feel like I never found an exact answer with the coupe 3.0. I will take some pictures of the interior and list the leather parts. Ill try to do it when it's light out tomorrow afternoon, before the sun nosedives out of the midwest sky |

SWEET!! Extended leather is rarer than hen's teeth, and desirable as hell. Had I factory-ordered my car, it would have been an absolute must. But buying at a fire sale price off the dealer's lot in '07 made it an impossibility.
You have a sweet car there, LOVE that interior.. congratulations and welcome to the E86 clan!

Ok so pictures arn't great, as the sun never came out, this is 4:30 and the street lights have already turned on...
The only significant difference on the coupe appears to be the doors, which makes it worthwhile to me. I believe extended leather also gets you the sun visors, knee pads?, shift boot?, and parking brake surround. Here's a couple threads on it. It's a no brainer with the roadster, but with the coupe I would be hard pressed to add it on if I were buying new 6 years ago... No pillars, no rear storage cover, no seat backs. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=281103 http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?p=14432307 Also, how do leaves and what not get in here? |

Thanks for the additional pics. Everything you took is the exact same as mine... except my apillars are black and not tan. I thought extended leather wrapped the majority of the center console all the way back to the storage compartment in leather. But like others have said seems like the extent of the extended leather package in coupes is a bit of an unknown compared to the roadsters.
PS... I bought my car used with black rims... just my personal preference but I say stick with silver on your wheels... or if you do powder coat don't go too dark. |

Some XL parts are still available in Black, but expensive as hell. Better left as replaccements for those who already have it. Or find an inexpensive craftsman who can do it cheap.
