Engine Mount Height

Questions have arisen about whose mounts are taller or shorter than whose, so let's have a look.
Don't want to find out that those new mounts you bought cause your PCV line to crash into your strut brace.

Height Summary:

Unloaded, off the car, on the bench:
Stock: 67.4 mm after 30k miles
Vibra Technics: 68.0 mm new
BimmerWorld: 63.5 mm new
Rogue: [TBD]
AKG: 69.1 mm after 2k miles

my supercharger intake manifold sat around 10mm away from the SB on the stock mounts, it was always an area what concerned me, but after fitting the VT mounts the distance remained the same between these 2 components.

my stock mounts were removed with very low miles, under 10k for sure, so maybe the squash was small. Pleased to report I've never had a contact issue

StickMon,

Until someone measures a new set of OEM mounts, I thought I could contribute some used measurements. I measured a set of OEM mounts that have 30K miles on them, but look in excellent shape. The battery on my caliper is dead, so this is +/- 1 mm:

OEM 30K Mile Mounts:
Top to bottom thickness excluding bolts: 67 mm
Diameter of rubber at base: 104 mm

Maybe the Bimmerworld mounts are shorter because they don't compress as much, and after compression, the stock mounts are compressed to a shorter height.

Part of the reason for lower performance mounts is lower center of gravity.

For comparison's sake, and since I'm bored and happen to have it sitting in my living room, here's the specs for the AKG mount. Used roughly 2K miles.

Bolt end to end = 110.44mm

Mount top to bottom = 69.06mm

Top thickness = 60.32mm

Bottom thickness = 89.27mm

Weight with included hardware= 1 lb 4.1oz / 570g
Subtract 1 oz / 28g for hardware

Does it make sense to modify this thread slightly to motor mount spec thread?
Add info for material type ( poly, rubber, etc)
Mount bolt design; (through bolt, isolated, sheer protected, etc)
......

Might be a good sticky for mount selection

Could, but I think a lot of that is available from the manufacturer.
The height was the main thing I was trying to capture because they never seem to tell you that, and there was a lot of speculation going around.
