Took my car to Frank Smith (TTFS) yesterday.

Highly recommend anyone to take their s54 cars to him. Amazing work. He initially found that my car was running lean between 6-8k rpm and he fixed that. I was only putting around 390 to the wheels with the was 525 kit, cat less headers, race cats, supersprint section 2 and mufflers.

Tuned it and Im getting 465 to the wheels. After water/meth ill be up another 20 maybe.
Ill put up dyno sheets once they get emailed to me.

What a difference in power all throughout the rpm range. Esp 6k to redline where I wasn't getting nearly enough fuel for the air coming in. Could've ended up with a blown motor eventually.

Anyway, they know their stuff to say the least. Get in contact with him if you want to get that power!

Also, not to make everyone jealous...he tossed me the keys to his new m5 while we waited. Warned me not to turn off traction control and I found out why! Good god. Must be pushing 700+ hp with just his time. Crazy

Great saturday

what was your AFR at WOT 7k rpm +??

Their may be a reason your car was doing that as the stock ESS tune targets mid 11s Afr at WOT.

Yea AFR dropped off to 10-11 as soon as it got above 6k rpm. Power dropped with it. Under 6 it was normal I think in the 14s.

Sorry yeah, had it backwards. As for customer service, if they dont respond to email quickly just give a call. I think they work 3 days a week total in shop.

Hes got a handful of e46 pushing 550+ to the wheel with no internal work. E85 tune and blower plus meth kit. No intercooler. Crazy. Dyno day coming up soon for anyone local to Maryland.

My initial interaction with TTFS was sketchy also after money had changed hands.
I discovered direct communication ie phone is the best method.
Their hardware and know how is exceptional.

I saw the pictures on social media of your car. Didn't know there was another local member! A couple of us went to his dyno day last year and had a good time!

I'd be interested to see the final dyno. 465 whp is a lot on Frank's dyno. My low mileage ESS VT2-500 S54 achieved 417 whp, granted only on 6-6.5 psi. What was your peak boost level?

I've considered swapping pulleys and injectors, and hooking back up my water/meth system.
