Lightbulb CSL type carbon intake for under 1K? interested?

Hi guys, since chucking on my CSL karbonius intake on the zed, I've had a good look at the one i bought previously from ebay, it is actually a quality item also, produced in hong kong, the carbon is pretty nicely layer up and the finish is top notch.. the trumpets ae also very nicely done, and actually look identical to the karbonius ones..

the only catch, it doesn't have an internal CSL type air filter.

I've had a pretty good look at the box, and i am going to be cutting it open to make a seat inside for the CSL air filter. Ive worked with fiberglass lots before from making surfboards and such and id recon this should be pretty do-able..

including most of the hardware minus the tune, id recon this CSL type box will come in at under a grand US..

would there be any interest here for me producing kits like that?

just chucking it out there, as if there is no interest, ill go back to playing Star Craft. lol..

Cheers..

I'd be tempted at that price. If you could figure a way to integrate the sound generator hole for the Z's... Temptation would be too much

Go back to playing starcraft mate, just kidding it would be awesome to have a sub 1k csl style airbox but only if it's proven to make power.

Lol nah seriously, i am gonna go back to doing other stuff, just had a close look at the reduced prices that karbonious is now offering.. you can grab one of their air boxes now for 1600 eros.. so its not gonna be worthwhile.. peeps will want to spend an extra 500 euros and no head aches for me .

Their prices are without VAT though. So another 25ish % on top of that.

wow, your VAT is 25 percent.. thats massive

yeah i might just see where this little project takes me over the next bit of time or so, more so for own personal experimentation. Its just that really for say around another few hundred bucks you can grab one of those grey market CSL boxes and that /would/ be less hassle.

anyways, will see what happens.

In Sweden the VAT is 25%. But thanks to the EU I would only have to pay the exporting country's VAT, I guess it's lower in Spain. But VAT has to be paid on top of that 1600€ anyway.

Interested, but it has to create sound and performance benefits. Got that? Go go go!
