Reset oil service 7500miles to early

Screwed up and was not thinking. Did a mid cycle oil change and like an idiot reset my oil service hwen it was only at 7500 miles. Now it says I have an ispection due in 13,500 miles which would put it at 39500mi (way to early) needs to be at around 48500 to 50,000. How could I manipulate the resets to get the inspection at 48500? Ive been racking my brain and now it hurts.

I've got a very similar issue. I think my dealer reset the oil change indicator when they did the yearly change before I purchased the car. Now the car indicates inspection due at a total of 14,900 miles.

Has anyone had a dealer do something simlar and would the dealer be able to tell if they reset too early? I assume they'll complain about inspection 1 being done under their plan since I'll only have 15k miles?

Just be honest and tell your dealer the truth right now... Regardless though, at least you know exactly what maintenance is required...
