So I think we have an answer folks!!!!
A clever mechanic friend of mine suggested it's probably the upgraded UUC transmission mounts. This would explain why the whole car vibrates with RPM and why it only happens when it's cold because the material properties of the mounts themselves become very rigid when cold.

I get the same thing with my Bimmerworld motor mounts.
Great butt massage on a cold morning to go with the seat heater. Calms down quite a bit after it's up to temp.
