re-programming SMG pt 2

Found this site.

"Auto Repair Technician Home"

This site offers a large selection of free downloads for Bimmers.
I have a laptop that meets requirements.
But, I am still unclear as to what program/programs I need to diagnose and re-code my SMG.
Can anyone help?
My car is a 2003 z4 3.0i with SMG.
Thanks.

SMG questions w/ pics

I'm going to try this again.
I found a website called BimmerGeeks that a previous poster mentioned as having a connecter between computer and OBD port.
The fella that runs the site assisted me in determining which programs to download in order to diagnose and reset my SMG. He also offers to remotely run the programs to dx and reset. I will set up a time for his assistance tomorrow.
Turned out I needed a faster laptop and the store actually assisted me in downloading the programs.
Now some questions for you that may know;
1. Where are the identifying numbers on the transmission? So far all I have found is +GF+.

2. The solenoid manifold is made in Italy.

I have some pics;

Is the blue circled plug the fill plug?

Observations, thoughts, suggestions are most welcome.
Thanks.

Tough crowd...
Anybody tell me ANYTHING?
Why the leaks?
How to fix the leaks?
Does it need to be depressurized before the above?
Does it need to be depressurized before draining and filling?
This is not an SMG, but an SSG?
Searching for SSG info, and can't find anything.
Again, 2004 z4 3.0L with sport suspension.
Thanks.

No, that is not the fill plug. The fill plug is located on the upper corner of the plastic reservoir tank and looks more like a plastic bottle cap. You'll see a picture of it if you pull up the parts listing in "realoem". The reservoir is part #1. The reservoir is not highly pressurized so fluid can be added. As I recall, it should be about half full but it's hard to tell because the plastic becomes less transparent with age.

I can't tell what's leaking from your photos. Seems like a lot of corrosion on some parts. Has this car been subjected to a lot of salt or flood? Clean everything off as best you can to check source of leak.

It should be electronically depressurized before disassembling and must be electronically bled after reassembly.
