Evolve Airbox Install Help URGENT

Looking for urgent help from CSL airbox owners as I'm stuck at the car with the install ?

The longer vent hose supplied by the Evolve kit does not have the "L" fitting that will plug into the connections opposite to the intake?

Can't reuse the OEM hose since it's not long enough to reach the Evolve box's opening?

Stuck at the car please help !

^ WHS .. or you could cut and tape (heat wrap) together until you get a replacement hose that is proper....

As others have said, you can cut and self extend the hose. should not be an issue, it is just a crank case ventilation hose.

Thanks to the help of everyone in this thread I was able to finish my install smoothly

Installation instructions out the package arnt as detailed as you'd like for less mechanically inclined people (me) but if you do some poking around m3forum you should have enough info pieced together to tackle this job with basic tools.

There are some differences between the Z4M and E46 M3 engine bays but it will make sense to you once you have things apart..

Bending of the dipstick wasn't as bad as the E46 M3 guys... with the Z4M I just basically had to swing it closer to the strut bar area (Did not have to bend anything).

One tip I'd like to share which wasn't mentioned in the installation guide is to make sure to pay attention to the orientation of the Norma clamps (Supplied with Evolve kit) on the TB side. I had a few clamps which were placed a little too close for comfort to the throttle linkage which caused interference under moderate to WOT throttle and the car would stutter and cut fuel.

Talked to Randy @ Epic who ran me through my codes/symptoms and sure enough I rotated a few clamps and she's running like a champ.

For owners on the fence about the CSL airbox.... DO IT. That induction noise alone is worth every pretty penny this mod costs!!!

I was able to heat up and pull apart the CSL tube but was not able to do so on the original shorter hose.. ended up having to cut it open but the hose should be easy to replace if I shall return to stock in the future
