My understanding is that you get at least half as much as the headers give you from the RPI resonators, but correct me if that is incorrect.
I've have had a LOT of different exhaust setups on the car.
No, thats completely incorrect re the RPI alone.
Headers are a HUGE improvement.

Thanks. I'll keep an eye out for Euro headers (unless after market versions are better)

I'm running Fabspeed, but I think the gains are small compared to Euro

Thanks for the review. I have Stromung, RE X-Pipe, Euro head and cat and thinking of SS Powerloop to tone the car down. This saves me a few bucks.

I'm curious, How does it save you a few $$$$. ?????
Powerloops are expensive vs Stromung.

Do you by any chance have a sound clip of this set up? I'm EXTREMELY curious to hear how this sounds and also curious how loud this actually is. Let me know if you've got something stashed away, it's kind of been my dream set up.

I've got sound clips of Euro Header, DKF Section 1 w/ 300 cell cats, RE x-pipe, SS Powerloops. Should be very similar.

Switched to SS Race recently. When I get those sound clips, I'll post a thread comparing the 2 SS muffler options.

Yes, it sounds great! It's what I choose to keep with the SS header and AA tune.

That's awesome and thank you for the videos. Did you notice an increase in pitch when you slapped the DKF section 1 on there? That's the only real difference between our set ups I believe.

If I went with one of these options I would want to preserve more of the deeper sound that I once had with the RPI's. I think that was my most favorite part about them, the increased the range of tones that the car was able to create throughout the power band (and of course the gurgles).

More research? I know I can't complain a whole lot about watching exhaust videos and daydreaming

We need to do a quick OC exhaust meet - would love to hear your setup

I bought the car with Euro header and the DKF Section 1 already installed on the car, so I can't comment on the effect of the Section 1. It had a stock Section 2 (x-pipe) and the powerloops. When I swapped Section 2 to Rogue Engineering, the car got a bit louder but otherwise, the tone did not change. When I swapped from powerloops to race mufflers, the car obviously got significantly louder, but I would say the tone is not quite as deep as the powerloops. I'm going to make a new thread to compare SS powerloop to SS race when I get sound clips of the race.

Now I may swap the 300 cell cats with the resonators in the near future, so if I do, I'll make sure to report back on volume and tone differences that creates.

You and I are very close, so I'm down to meet up any time. If you're interested in a 4.10 differential, I can give you a ride too

I'm thinking of trying to organize another meet shortly after the new year - too much going on during the holidays for me.

I don't have a DFK sec 1 but when I put on the decatted sec 1 I picked up on the forum it definitely increased the pitch a bit, went higher and increased the rasp. Still not decatted m3 levels but getting closer, stock mufflers tone it down big time.

I pickup my Stromung exhaust in group buy. It was IIRC $850 for both cans. I can't even buy one Powerloop for that price.

I only have sound at idle when I installed Stromung.

Your setup must be super loud in person. Just the SS Race mufflers were too loud for me when I had it. We need to find a secluded area to meet so no one will call the police when you'll inevitably rev it

Would like to experience the 4.10 differential as well

I got mine custom made from Stromung (didn't want their logo on the tips). Cost was $915 shipped. They are a small company and the customer service was impeccable, and the craftsmanship of their cans are superb. I couldn't be happier.

Couldn't agree more. Personally I love the occasional decel cracks and pops as that is the BMW Performance Exhaust sound I was looking for (OEM mfg for e9X for instance). Slight vibration and drone in the lower RPM range, but nothing bad at all. This is the first time I have ever had a car with exhaust, and it only took me one day to get used to the minimal drone (highway speed in top gear with medium throttle). I commute 50 miles highway daily and it is no issue. I am glad I didn't go for the Remus. You also have to consider the whole system, flange included, is stainless steel.
