Rick that's a great story, well done.
I've been wondering what those wheels would look like on a coupe (like a modern version of the originals). Do you know the specs? (offsets) Cheers

Edit: I found the F80 M3 rim specs..

I still have mine: November 06 Performance Center Delivery. Has 33k-ish miles. I only tend to surface on message boards whenever there's a problem, like now.

I got lucky and intercepted an incoming Z4MC back in late '06 while trying to "build my car" at the dealership (apparently someone got weak knees and backed out of their deal). Squeezed a few grand off the price since they were worried they couldn't offload it (HA!) and the rest was history. Only had to wait 2 weeks for delivery.

Not ONCE in the years I've had her have I ever thought of selling it. It's a keeper until it dies (or I do).
Hey! Great to see you're still enjoying your keeper!

Krissi still has her Imola Red coupe as well. Bought at 15K miles in March 2010. She says someone would need to "pry it from my cold dead hands". She means it.

- Ordered 4/2008
- Delivered 7/2008 (barely got into the last of the production run)
- Sepang Bronze; Madeira; Black Nappa - 1 of 1 this combo
- 57K

Seattle > San Francisco > Boise > Miami

6 more months of payments until I own her clear. Short of saving a life, NOTHING in my life will force me to sell. I'll shift the sacrifice elsewhere

You bought the car new 7 years ago and you're still not done with payments?

I didn't know they even had car loans for that long.

2 year lease --> 5 year loan

Also I'm poor.

LOL, I actually did a poll about that on an Audi forum several years ago and concluded that car enthusiasts spend more of their income on cars than normal people do. When I bought my Q5 I noticed Audi's print brochure stated the median income of a Q5 owner is $185k. My poll showed the median income on the Q5 forums was a lot less than the median, with a whopping 25% earning under $125k IIRC. I was like, you can't afford a Q5 if you're barely making 6 figures! I guess some people are house-poor and others are car-poor. We're all poor in one way or another

The $17,322 in mods probably didn't help.
