For curiosity sake...How many are original owners of MZ4s here?
Roadster or Coupe. And still own it.

Hack, not to sidetrack your original question, but I think our E85/86 cars (M and non-M) are now old enough that a single owner car would be relatively rare.

2007 M Coupe... picked up at the Performance Center with 6 other M Coupes owners at a sorta of special M Coupe delivery. Almost at 70k miles and I only driver her in the summer. I LOVE this car and will never sell her.

Original 06 M roady owner, sold when business went south.
When things recovered they were EOL, so new was not an option with my M Coupe

Sort of. Bought first one new in 2007, dealer bent a strut joy riding after three years...by then the cars were out of production, so searched and found a mint replacement with 8K miles (less than my original car), which now has 23K miles on it.

"Wait.. what.. the dealer bent a strut... how did they explain that one to you... man I would have been pissed."
They tried to hide it at first. Said they curbed a wheel and were replacing it. When I brought it home I saw damage on the front spoiler. The body shop (commissioned by the dealer to do the work on the front spoiler) showed me the strut tower was bent. I noted the car did not track 100% straight. Dealer finally came clean. Was not a good experience and I was indeed pissed. It worked out in the end.

Purchased new in August 2007 after returning the first new one due to undisclosed paint repairs.
Now has 51K on the odo; many of those are high performance driving school miles.

Back in from the abyss to post on this thread...
I got lucky and intercepted an incoming Z4MC back in late '06 while trying to "build my car" at the dealership (apparently someone got weak knees and backed out of their deal). Squeezed a few grand off the price since they were worried they couldn't offload it (HA!) and the rest was history. Only had to wait 2 weeks for delivery. Not ONCE in the years I've had her have I ever thought of selling it. It's a keeper until it dies (or I do). |
